1. Scope

1.1

These requirements apply to flue-connected oil-fired forced warm air heating appliances which provide complete separation of the combustion system, including the air for combustion and flue products from the atmosphere of the living space, for installation in mobile housing and recreational vehicles, irrespective of the heating capacity or the type of burner used.

1.2

This Standard applies to appliances with fuel supplies which may be located remotely or at the appliance.

1.3

An appliance which differs from that contemplated by this Standard may be examined and tested according to the intent of the Standard and if found to be substantially equivalent, may be given recognition.

1.4

An appliance which meets each separate requirement of the Standard will not comply with the Standard as a whole if it has other features which, when examined and tested, were found to impair the intent of the Standard.
